Do to contrary belief writing about oneself is a hard thing to do but I will do my best, and keep it short and sweet. I've always had a strong interest in music and writing. Over the years, I've kept kind of a Manifesto going where I would write down thoughts, stories and whatever is on my mind at the time. Then one day I decided why let these words just be wasted on me so I decided to share them with whoever is willing to read them.

A few years ago, I really got into music, so I pulled my guitars out of storage and started playing again and to my surprise I actually liked the stuff I was coming up with. Heavily Inspired by, Instrumental Rock, Punk, and Folk/Rock. I like simple beautiful sounds, or aggressive fast passed chording. Not to much in-between, aside from acoustic medleys. Amongst the sub par vocals, I try to create a musical landscape like no other

I also enjoy photography; I pretty much take my digital camera wherever I go. All images found on this site were taken by me, I just have profound fascination with taking something that looks normal and turning it dark, and in a way gloomy, which is why the majority of the images on my site are manipulated.

Inspirations It's hard to say, so many people inspire me but ill name the few I really look up to. I guess you could say Kurt Cobain, I love the raw power and enthusiasm that he put into all his songs. Tom Morello ( Rage Against the Machine / Audioslave) this guy is pure genius behind the guitar, it still amazes me when I sit back and throw an old Rage Album in and hear what he can do with a guitar. Danny Elfman… Most of you don't know of him, but you have all most likely heard his music. He composes all the great orchestra work for the majority of big budget movies (Batman, Spider-Man, Edward Scissor Hands) his music is dreary, and dark… that's why I love it. Matthew Good, his music, his words, genius. Possibly the greatest Singer/Song writer around today. Elliott Smith a genius singer/song writer, whose simplicity in creating music was beautiful. God is an Astronaut, creepy, distant, violent, beautiful. One of the best instrumental Rock bands out there, Followed closely by God Speed, you black Emperor!, A silver mt Zion and mogwai. Those bands heavily influence my instrumental attempts, emotional music done instrumental at its best.

Why the name Dragging the lake? I was watching a film called Cabin by the Lake during the first design of the site. Anyways it's about a guy who kills people and weighs their bodies down so he can have an underwater garden of corpses (messed up I know). So I thought to myself they're going to have drag the lake to get the bodies out, anyways that's where the name came from. Not a blatant rip off Atticus Punk Compilation, I didn't find out about that till after I named the site. Also I highly suggest watching that film, its good the first one anyways.

Enough of this jargon. Enjoy the fruits of my imagination, which is Dragging the Lake.
